Solidarity holds a conference on “Governance of Institutional Performance at the Ministry of Social Solidarity.”

Yasser Badry 1-29-2022 Within the framework of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s interest in activating governance within its various departments, the Ministry will hold tomorrow, Sunday, God willing, and under the patronage of Mrs. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, a conference on “Governance of Institutional Performance in the Ministry of Social Solidarity.” The conference will be held at the headquarters of the Ministry’s General Office, and the aim of the conference is to strengthen the governance of the Ministry’s institutional performance in light of internationally recognized best practices and the necessity of spreading institutional and societal awareness of the importance of governance and its implementation mechanisms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and to combat all forms of corruption. The conference includes three main topics: First: Presenting a summary of the study conducted on the current status of institutional performance governance at the Ministry of Social Solidarity. Second: Presenting a general policy proposal to strengthen and improve governance of rules and procedures. Third: Presenting a procedural guide that summarizes the standards that must be adhered to and the indicators that must be followed in order to be able to measure the institution’s achievement towards improving governance. Mrs. Nevin Al-Qabbaj confirmed that the conference achieves basic goals to improve the degree of transparency, efficiency and effectiveness that the Ministry aspires to achieve, in addition to identifying the types and percentages of gaps between the actual reality of institutional governance and the desired level that the Ministry wishes to achieve. The conference also presents the institutional practices that the Ministry’s leaders and employees see. Appropriate within the framework of best practices that have been studied locally and internationally. The Minister of Social Solidarity indicated the Ministry’s keenness to invite and participate with relevant ministries and authorities in the conference, as the partnership between these institutions is binding and necessary to reach the effective and efficient implementation of what the political leadership has directed regarding improving the governance of procedures and data and harmonizing with state policies towards rationalizing public spending with Improving distributional equity.
